This Baking Soda is aluminum free. Baking Soda is a leavening agent that helps produce light, airy breads and perfect cakes. Most recipes will instruct you to mix baking soda with other dry ingredients before adding liquid. Some recipes might tell you to mix briefly or "only until moistened". Mixing this way keeps the baking soda from reacting until the end of the mixing process.
